I am so honored to have learned so many cultural traditions and wedding customs during my time living in Hawaii, where I can now bring that experience to couples here in Seattle. Nick & Yvonna’s Chinese tea ceremony was so special to be a part of. They offered tea to their elders in exchange for red envelopes containing bangles, rings, necklaces and money. After the tea ceremony was complete, Yvonna changed into her Western gown, and did a traditional “first-look” photo with Nick so he could see her in her white gown for the first time.
