When Mandy started touring venues in Tacoma, the Tacoma Art Museum was one of the places that was on her list as a must visit. It is the type of venue that would push beyond the comfort zone when it came to design. When Kathleen Mazzei, the museum’s Private Event Coordinator, asked if Mandy wanted to partner with them in putting together an open house for them, it was an immediate said yes knowing this would be an opportunity to really showcase the space in ways that it hadn’t been done before.
The museum wanted to make sure there were multiple types of events shown, while using as many South Sound vendors as we could. Three different designs were created for them; Colorful Auction, Corporate Holiday and Moody Whimsical Wedding, then got to work reaching out to some of our favorite vendors (or as we like to call them Friendors) to help us pull each design together...

In addition to the different designs, we had some incredible vendors provide food for all the guests. Pacific Grill Events & Catering with their yummy bacon wrapped dates, Snuffin's Catering with the awesome mac & cheese bar and X Group Catering providing a variety of appetizers (ask them about the compressed watermelon!)
We wanted to show off a variety of dessert ideas to guests and our vendors didn't disappoint! Dolce Si Bakery with an assortment of sweet and savory items, Ice Cream Social with their adorable cart (and my favorite ice cream), and the always wonderful Honey Crumb Cake Studio serving three of her fabulous cake flavors
And if the beautiful art in the museum or wedding attire from The Wedding Bell wasn't enough, we had The Snap Bar, Merry Makers with their giant chess set and Ken Jacobsen playing the electric guitar to keep everyone entertained.
We were so happy with how everything turned out, and are so thankful to have the relationships with all these vendors that we do. It’s vendors like the team we had that help make the day go so smoothly.
