One of Seattle’s most iconic wedding venues, Chihuly Garden and Glass can take on any tone my couples want to give it. Having done approximately 40 weddings at this beautiful space to date, I’ve done everything from modern glam to minimalistic to rustic to romantic; and am proud to say I have done more weddings than any wedding planner at that venue. I am sought out as the go-to expert for this venue from other planners seeking advice & best practices.

Unfortunately, Chihuly’s licensing agreement has changed and I can no longer feature images of my work in that space that also show Chihuly’s artwork without paying them to feature my and my amazing vendor teams work. To say I am disappointed with this decision is an understatement. So, I have to get creative. I still want to show images of my work of Chihuly weddings, but I can’t show images that feature the full event space that include images of Chihuly’s artwork in which I can get sued for. It’s a shame I can’t show you the full wedding as a sole proprietor business owner, but I’m going to do what I can to show you one of my most recent weddings there.

This wedding like so many others was a 2020 reschedule. Throughout the course of the reschedule, we had 3 different dates, revisions to location and revisions to design. It by far was one of my most logistically challenging and communicative weddings of 2020 to 2021. With over 1,000 emails (mainly with the MOB), we finally pulled off this beautiful wedding in October 2021.

Out of privacy for the couple, I won’t be sharing their names or identifying images of their faces, but I will share with you this romantic design featuring gorgeous lace linens and babies breath head table centerpieces. We mixed up the centerpieces for visual interest and to fill up the space. The other tables featured greenery “tree” style centerpieces to really play up the height of the space, while the others featured floral with taper candle centerpieces.

The favors were candy pieces that were handmade by the bride & her grandmother as a nod to their family traditions.

The cake, favor, and invitation monogram was carried throughout and added a wonderful elegant feature to the day.

It was a stunner of a wedding and I am proud of how it all turned out despite the hoops I had to jump through to execute this wedding.
