Weddings on the Waterfront featuring the World Trade Center Seattle

Even though Weddings on the Waterfront wedding show is no longer in existence, the design I created for the showcase stands the test of time.

One of the 6 featured venues along the Seattle waterfront, I was assigned to the World Trade Center which is famous for it globe ceiling and intimate space. As soon as I saw that globe, I immediately knew I wanted to feature my specialty in Asian weddings, specifically Japanese weddings.

The goal was to take warm, neutral colors and add soft, sophisticated details to bring in a really unique look. We wanted to show that an ambiance is not conveyed just by color but also by textures, mixed materials, shapes, and thoughtful details. For our Japanese clients, it’s very easy to incorporate beautiful details into any theme that create an overall very upscale and elegant look (and hosting at the Arctic Club doesn’t hurt!).

We can’t say enough about the care and thought that was put in by Michael of Anticipate Invitations. The delicate and varied details he put on each of the menus, place cards, favors, table numbers, etc. are out of this world! The stationery really brought our design to the next level.

The cake from Carla at Honey Crumb Cake Studio was a force of it’s own. Clean but with lots of character and impeccable execution! Did you look at those sugar flowers??

As always, it’s very important to give proper credit and thanks to our photographer, Alante Photography. We are so lucky to continuously get the chance to work together. They have a truly unique ability to capture our work in a way that outshine’s the rest. Thank you Alante!
