Rustic Wedding at Chihuly Garden and Glass with Seattle Wedding Planner New Creations Weddings
We are long overdue for a blog post! What happened to winter being our "off season?" With two weddings in January (including another beautiful Chihuly Garden and Glass wedding), we have been go, go, go! Hopefully you've had a chance to enjoy the holidays and get into the swing of the new year. And, since we're featuring a Chinese wedding, happy Chinese New Year as well! (About a week late, but better late than never). :)
Do we have a treat for you?! This gorgeous Chinese rustic wedding at the modern and elegant Chihuly Garden and Glass is truly a feast for the eyes. All of these elements came together perfectly for Amy and Jeremy's big day last July (yes, we're a little behind on blogging).
Starting off the morning bright and early with a Chinese Tea Ceremony at the Brides home, the house was packed with wonderful guests, amazing food, and of course, the antics the Bridesmaids put the Groom and Groomsmen through. This is one of our favorite parts of the day, as it really let's the playfulness of the couple come out.
After the fun and formalities of the Tea Ceremony ended, the Wedding Party made their way to the gorgeous Alexis Hotel to begin the formal getting ready process. They of course had to start off the day with a super cute matching robe photo (robes from Etsy). The Gentlemen countered with their own version of the "robe photo" using the cheetah patterned robes the hotel offers.
Once everyone was all dressed up, the Bride and Groom made their way to the hotel bar for their first-look photo. I adore the look on Amy's face- just pure excitement and anticipation. After taking in the first time seeing each other in wedding day formals, everyone made their way over to Chihuly for portrait and Wedding Party Photos.
While they were out taking photos, that was our time to setup. We totally transformed this super modern space into a warm and welcoming environment through the use of wood chairs, antique cards and garden style flowers. Amy has a love for vintage things, so we wanted to bring that into the space in a way that made sense with the colors and style of the venue, as Jeremy likes things cleaner and crisper. I think we knocked it out of the park!
We adore couples who have a sense of adventure and style, and Amy and Jeremy allowed that to come in through their eclectic love of all things vintage, and even into the flower selection. While we were planning, they allowed our amazing florist (Bash and Bloom) to use any type of flower she wanted - the more unique, the better, creating a truly mesmerizing centerpiece ensemble.
The night capped off with an awesome dance party, and one of the best combined Father/Daughter & Mother/Son dances we've ever seen!
As busy working professionals, Amy and Jeremy needed help being guided through every step of the planning process, and came to us with the venue and photographer already booked. Everything else, we helped them hand-select the perfect team to make their vision a reality through our Full Planning & Design services. And what a day it was!
