Meng and Brent | Parsons Gardens Wedding | Center for Wooden Boats Wedding

What a sweet and intimate wedding Meng and Brent's wedding was. They came to me with most of their vendors booked as well as their ceremony venue of Parsons Gardens and reception venue of Center for Wooden Boats, but needed a bit of help with layout and design, so my "Day-of" with Design package was perfect for them! I worked with them on bringing together their simple fresh color palette of peach, pink and white throughout the ceremony and reception. Parsons Gardens was sweetly decorated with Chinese lanterns hanging from the trees as their backdrop, and paper umbrellas lining the back row of chairs. Flower posies in shades of pink lined the aisle chairs. The decor brought in some of Meng's Chinese heritage, as well as the final act of their ceremony- bowing to their parents, bowing to each other, and bowing to heaven as a sign of respect.

As guests were moved to the reception by trolley, they were greeted to a stunning view of Lake Union and MOHAI hosted by the Center for Wooden Boats. During cocktail hour a sketch artist provided caricatures of the guests while they took in the famous Seattle view. Dinner was served on the deck al fresco style under a canopy of cafe lighting. A brief passing sprinkle threatened to move the party inside, but luckily, it passed quickly allowing us to stay outside.

The day was perfect, and I could not be happier for Meng and Brent to begin their married lives together.
