When the Venue Coordinator for an iconic Seattle wedding venue calls you up to ask if you can be the "Day-of" Coordinator for her wedding, you know it's going to be good! Elisa quickly became a long-time friend and peer as I was launching my wedding planning business and she was the Events Coordinator at The Woodmark Hotel. We quickly hit it off, and began working together time and time again, even after she left the Woodmark for Bell Harbor, then Bell Harbor for her current location of Chihuly Garden and Glass. She kept saying, "When it's my turn, you're who I'm calling." Well, finally it was her turn, and after her long-time boyfriend, Ben, popped the question, the planning was underway.
Being a very experienced Venue Coordinator, Elisa had the skill set to get all the planning and vendors underway on her own. I came alongside them to help them through the final planning stages and to be sure all loose ends were wrapped up.
The day itself was a *gorgeous* fall day. We couldn't have asked for the leaves to be a more vivid red, the air to be crisper or the sky to be bluer. The red fall tones popped beautifully with their color palette of plums and purples, making for a rich, inviting space.
My favorite part were the moments Elisa and Ben were able to steal with each other, making it feel like they were the only two people in the entire room. I also loved that Elisa surprised Ben with some adorable cookies on the dessert table.
