When Pantone released it's 2018 Color of the Year, the wedding world had a lot to say about it.  Some love it, others hate it.  But if you're a fan of purple, and recently engaged, 2018's Pantone color of the year, Ultra Violet, is for you!

Here are 5 easy ways we've seen purple incorporated into a wedding day.

1.  Details, details, details.  While purple may not be your primary color, it makes a striking and rich accent color.  Take our shoot we did for Seattle Met Bride & Groom Magazine earlier this year.  We knew we wanted to incorporate tones of purple (ahead of the curve on this trend, wouldn't you say?!), however it was not our primary color.  We also incorporated wood, copper and slate.  Purple was the accent color for the napkin, runner and floral details.

2.  Bridesmaids Dresses.  Purple generally is a universally flattering color on women.  Using it as your Bridesmaids dress color is a fabulous way to incorporate it into your wedding day.  Take these Bridesmaids dresses for instance.  Our Bride gave her Bridesmaids options on the tone of purple they wanted to wear.  Making for great visual interest, as well as customized options for her Bridesmaids on the tone of purple they felt the most comfortable in.

3.  Groomsmen Attire.  Looking for a fun Groomsmen gift?  Look no further then fun, customized socks for your men.  Bringing in purple doesn't necessarily have to be in your face.  It can be on your feet!  These fun Groomsmen socks gave a perfect bit of unexpected personality and color to an otherwise formal black tux.

4.  Flowers.  There is a vast array of beautiful purple flowers out there, and you can incorporate them perfectly into your wedding day.  Take these bouquets for instance.  Our Bride opted for a traditional white bouquet, while she had her bridesmaids in varying colors of purple.  Mixing and matching shades can give visual interest to bouquets and flower arrangements while still looking incredibly elegant.
